Compact Base Gel Clear (8ml)

A new generation of base gel and nail strengthener

Our new 2 in 1 compact base gel is a soak-off, flexible and super dense nail strengthener gel in a convenient polish bottle with a brush cap. Despite its high density, it’s easy to work with since it’s self-levelling and creates a smooth surface. Features very strong adhesion is thus perfect for a base layer. Enhances the durability of the nails as nail strengthener but also could be used for creating the C-curve, fixing chipped nails or for sculpting nail extensions using a nail form.
Cover Pink: Our beautiful Pink cover colour with opaque coverage. Recommended for French nails / pink and whites. Apply this Compact base gel as the base layer, the nail strengthener and as the pink base colour of the French nails, then apply the white free edge colour (recommended CoverPRO white) and use a top gel to finish the perfect French look.
Translucent Nude: Medium opaque, natural, nude colour that blends right with the colour of the natural nails. Perfect for strengthening nails or creating less dramatic, natural effect as well as a base under less opaque colours.

• Prepare the nails with Spray Prep, Nail prep or No Buffer Scrub. No need for primer. 
• Apply colour gel polish over the properly cured surface (Don’t remove the thin tacky layer. It helps with applying the colour more preciously.) 
• Compatible with all gel polishes - Using it as a base under ONE STEP CrystaLacs extends their durability similar to the 3 STEP CrystaLacs (up to 3 to 4 weeks)
• Features extreme adhesion hence perfect under hard gels too 
• In case of sculpting, first, remove the tacky layer then shape it like hard gels

Cure times: UV 2-3 mins; LED 1-2 mins.

WHAT IS IT?
Simply put, Compact Base is Crystal Nails' answer to 'builder in a bottle' as well as a one-stop-shop base gel that allows you to do so much more.
Coming in SIX different colours, Compact Base removes the need for you to have various types of base gel for each technique and eliminates the need to remember which one to use - compact works for them all: gel polish, hard gel, fusion gel & the brand new modern gel polish technique.

A key difference between standard base gels and Compact Base is that with compact you are able to perform the modern gel polish techniques and build an apex on the nail - something I find myself doing regularly in the salon. The modern gel polish technique is great for those with damaged or weak nails. Broken nail, you say? not a problem. Compact base gives you the ability to create very short extensions to repair a broken nail - I know, HUGE news!

This is the newest generation product of its kind and has the best adhesion to far. Great consistency and self-levelling, too - just to add to its allure.

SHOULD WE USE IT?
This is a resounding yes, for me! It costs no more than your standard base gel and removes the need for them. It creates a strong, flexible enhancement that does not need a thick application, leaving the nail feeling natural and light.
Compact base lasts for weeks and requires maintenance only once a month. It is a soak off product but is recommended to infill rather than remove each time, in order to keep the nails beneath nice & healthy.

I can honestly say I go through several bottles of compact base every month - I simply love this product and cannot imagine going back to salon life without it!
Its full curing time is 1/2 minutes (LED) or 2/3 minutes (UV) depending on the type and strength of your lamp.
If you are new to this product & modern gel polish technique I would recommend you use one of the colours with added pigment rather than clear because it is easier to control when you can see the product moving on the nail plate.
